Timber sky is dedicated to using sustainably sourced lumber. Our trees are selectively logged right here in the kootenays.
RiverRun Timber is a small family run business just 20 km away from our woodworking shop. This is where all of our Timbers get milled to size.
When the milling is complete we transport the timbers to our shop in Crescent Valley where our lead carpenter Benjamin Bullock hand cuts every piece with care and attention to detail. His passion for custom woodworking and 20 years of experience in carpentry are put to work as he brings the joinery to life.
Timber frame, or post and beam construction is a time honoured building method. Large square Timbers are assembled using mortise and tenon joinery, drawn & locked together with hardwood pegs.
